Were you inspired by essential workers during the coronavirus pandemic? Then why not become one?
CPL is on the lookout for more than 300 support workers to join their team in the new year.
Joining CPL as a Direct Support Worker (DSW) in locations across Queensland, you will become one of the most in-demand employees in Australia right now.
Best of all, new recruits will immediately be making a difference in the lives of people with disability and aged care clients by spending their shifts working alongside them to live their lives with freedom and choice.
CPL’s General Manager of Services, Kirsty Austin, who began her career at CPL as a DSW 16 years ago, said being a DSW is one of the most rewarding jobs you can find.
“Not only is it one of the most-needed jobs in Australia, I think it’s also the most rewarding job in Australia,” she said.
“You feel a real sense of accomplishment and you can really make a difference in people’s lives.”
Applicants do not need any previous experience, and all training is provided by CPL.
“We are looking for people with great personalities, people skills and those who want to give back to the community,” Ms Austin said.
Direct Support Worker, Damien Girardi said being a Direct Support Worker allows him to support people with disability reach their goals in life.
“You really get to work with the client to support them to achieve their individual goals, to support them to be independent and to live to their full capacity. It’s so, so rewarding,” he said.
“I absolutely love my job. I can’t foresee me doing anything else with my life in the near future. I’d recommend it to anyone.”
CPL’s 300-plus roles are available across Queensland from Cairns to the Queensland border, with over 100 jobs in North Lakes, and 50 roles on the Gold Coast.
The roles are offered on a permanent part-time and casual basis. CPL support workers average 25 to 38 hours per week with more than 20,000 shifts scheduled each fortnight.
