Kyle, an employee at Kmart Oxenford who also has autism, recently made headlines for doing something extra special to greet customers as they enter the store.
Kyle has now been working with Kmart for over three years and says he still enjoys his job so much as it enables him to get out more and do the things he wants to do.
Kyle also took part in Kmart’s trial of a Quiet Space that allowed customers to shop in a low sensory environment with reduced noise and distractions.
“I think Kmart’s Quiet Space is a great idea. It creates a sensory-friendly environment for people with similar disabilities to me and encourages people to get out more,” Kyle said.
